Brit found dead in water at Costa del Sol marina as police launch probe

In this news:

Police in Costa del Sol have launched an investigation after a British man was found dead in the water at a marina.
Firefighters spent around an hour recovering the man's body after it was spotted between boats at the popular Duquesa Port near Estepona around 4.30am on Sunday. The man, said to be aged around 60, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Civil Guard officers are probing the circumstances surrounding his death. Sources said there were no obvious signs of any injuries pointing to a crime having taken place, and that further details would be given after a post-mortem.
A spokesman for the force said: "I can confirm the dead man is British. The death is still being investigated but at this stage everything is pointing to it being an accident."
It was not immediately clear this morning if the man, who was fully-clothed, owned a boat in the marina. A spokesman for a regional government-run emergency response coordination centre said late yesterday: "The emergency services have recovered the lifeless body of a man found in the water at La Duquesa port in the municipality of Manilva.
"The alarm was raised just before 4.30am on Sunday. Local police, Civil Guard and firefighters were among the emergency responders mobilised. The man was pronounced dead at the scene."
This is a breaking news story.
