Cboe BZX Resubmits Solana ETF Filings After 2024 SEC Rejection Setback

It is worth noting that to issue a crypto ETF, the SEC needs to approve 19b-4 filings (exchange's proposed rule changes), and S-1 filings (issuer's registration statement). Unless the regulator approves both forms, a proposed cryptocurrency ETF cannot go approved, the ETFs will allow traditional investors to get exposure to SOL without directly holding the crypto – a scenario that blew up significantly with the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum Gensler gone from the SEC leadership, hopes are rising that a SOL ETF may be approved this year.
