Several EU lawmakers expressed serious concerns on Thursday over Elon Musk's involvement in European politics, urging Brussels to take action to protect member states.
The tech billionaire has faced criticism for a series of attacks on European leaders, as well as his support for the far-right German AfD party, whose leader he hosted on his X social media platform just last week.
Musk's actions have prompted numerous letters from EU lawmakers, both in support of and against him. The most recent letter, sent on Thursday, expressed disapproval of Musk's posts regarding European politics.
"We are writing to express our deep concerns about Elon Musk's interference, particularly in the German election campaign and, previously, in Ireland," read the letter, signed by 38 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs).
The letter was addressed to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, along with EU tech and justice commissioners Henna Virkkunen and Michael McGrath.
