A community event Monday will discuss EndurANT Movement, a nonprofit based in Cardiff-by the Sea that helps people facing grief, neurodiversity and mental health challenges.
EndurANT Movement was founded by Neal and Samara Tricarico after the loss of their 16-year-old son, Anthony, aka “Ant.” The event is talking place on the one year anniversary of Anthony’s suicide. Their mission is to help people cope with grief and transform pain into purpose through “connection, vulnerability and resilience.”
The couple wanted to honor their son’s legacy by helping others struggling with some of the issues they faced. The idea is that no one should face their struggles alone.
By fostering healing through storytelling, community and post-traumatic transformation, EndurANT Movement provides tools, support and inspiration for those suffering from grief. The nonprofit focuses on mental health, suicide prevention and supporting people with autism and other neurodiversity challenges.
“We are carrying his legacy forward by turning our pain into something worthwhile for our community and the world,” said Anthony’s mother, Samara Tricarico, cofounder of EndurANT Movement.
The event will offer background and an overview of the EndurANT Movement, the resources being offered, including the podcast/show, events and webinars focused on grief, growth, and transformation. Attendees will also learn about ways to support mental health for teens and for adults aiding teens and ways to get involved in the movement.
The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on March 24 at 645 E. Solana Circle in Solana Beach and online from 6 to 7 p.m. that day.
