FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick vowed to fight for all three titles his team is in the race for after moving a point clear at the top of the La Liga table via thrashing Real Sociedad 4-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Catalans went into the fixture trailing leaders Atletico Madrid by two points, after Real Madrid fluffed its lines with a surprise 2-1 defeat to Real Betis on Saturday night.
Then on 17 minutes, there was a major plot twist after Aritz Elustondo hacked down a Dani Olmo that was clean through on goal, which opened the floodgates for two Barca goals in each half.
Despite Barca finally being back on top of the league in recent weeks, and now leading by a point and not just goal difference, Flick insisted that “it is not the time to talk about titles”.
"The objective has to be the next game. We are going to fight for the three titles and at first nobody expected it. That’s what we want, to fight for the three titles," Flick stated, while adding that although he doesn’t “look much beyond the next game”, he’s “happy with the point we’re at”.
