In the third installment of Mike White’s anthology series, we’ve seen armed robbery, corporate fraud, violent threats, and perhaps most disturbingly, fraternal incest. But no one has died—yet. At this point, it’s safe to assume more than one character could meet their end. Maybe it’s the Hollingers, out for revenge against Nick. Or Belinda and Zion, who fall victim after uncovering Greg’s true identity. It could be one of the Ratliffs, as Tim Ratliff’s business crumbles and he contemplates suicide—along with taking the lives of his family so they won’t have to live with the fallout. Or perhaps it’s one of the besties on a girls’ trip, whose bond is unraveling after Jaclyn slept with Valentin, the same man Laurie had been flirting with. No one is safe heading into tonight’s finale.
Season 3 of The White Lotus has been the show’s longest yet, expanding to eight episodes instead of the usual six. White told The Hollywood Reporter that while the finale is sad, he hopes it’s a "cathartic sad or a satisfying sad and not a ‘What the f*ck?’ sad.”
