Kinahan cartel thug Johnny Morrissey enjoys Easter in Spain ‘without care in the world’ months after €60k prison bail

TOP Kinahan crime boss Johnny Morrissey was spotted living the good life in Spain over Easter.
Daniel Kinahan’s long-time enforcer was mixing with Irish tourists in a popular bar in Elviria, Marbella on Saturday evening.
He then had a meal with his glamorous wife Nicola and some friends in a nearby Indian restaurant.
One local Irish resident who saw him said: “Johnny was in the best of form, laughing and joking with all the regulars as if he had not had a care in the world.
“The place was full of Irish people who hadn’t a clue who he was and his connections with the Kinahans.
"He was chatting away to everyone and anyone as if he was an ordinary Joe Soap.”
Morrissey was arrested in Spain two-and-a-half years ago after being named and shamed by the US Department of Treasury.
After his arrest in September 2022, the Spanish authorities claimed he was involved in laundering €200 million for the gang in the previous 18 months.
He was held for 20 months in a Malaga jail without being charged before being released in May last year on €60,000 bail and ordered not to leave the country.
Last year it was revealed that the mobster plans to open a wellness and rehab centre for drug addicts and alcoholics on the Costa del Sol.
The cartel money man and his wife told friends how they were going ahead with the project which was put on hold after his shock arrest.
The couple were plotting to convert one of their old multi-million-euro properties into a clinic.
The Manchester-born businessman used to live in Kinsale and travels on an Irish passport.
He was a target of the Criminal Assets Bureau during his time living in Cork.
The Kinahans left Marbella for Dubai almost ten years ago and the Spanish police believe Morrissey had been running their operations in Spain since they fled.
There are believed to be currently over 140 different crime gangs from around the globe based on the Costa del Sol and all linked to drug trafficking.
