However, underneath the frills, LaVar Ball was always motivated to ensure his children succeed. Lonzo and LaMelo are high-achieving NBA stars.
LaMelo is a franchise cornerstone who signed a $203 million rookie extension in 2023. Lonzo returned after nearly three years away from the game and earned a contract extension of his own with the Chicago Bulls.
LiAngelo tried hard to make the NBA despite going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft. He had stints in the NBA G League and even on two-way NBA contracts but never made an appearance in the league. The 26-year-old is unlikely to fulfill that dream now. He’s committed to pursuing his music career after the success of his first rap song, ‘Tweaker‘.
