North County’s Pizza Port Brewing Company and Karl Strauss Brewing Company have re-released their fan-favorite collaboration Nectaron of the Gods IPA. A portion of the proceeds from the tropical West Coast IPA will benefit Restaurants Care, a nonprofit fund that supports California restaurant workers facing unexpected hardships.
The beer, first released in 2023, is described as “a quintessential San Diego-style IPA” with notes of passion fruit, grapefruit, peach, and pineapple and a 6.8 percent ABV.
“We’re thrilled to bring this beer back,” said Pizza Port Director of Brewing Sean Farrell in a news release. “It’s a delicious reminder of what happens when two classic breweries come together, and it feels great to tie it to a cause that supports the people behind the scenes of every pint poured.”
The beer is now available on draft and in four packs at all Pizza Port locations, including Solana Beach and Bressi Ranch (Carlsbad), and the Karl Strauss’ Carlsbad brewpub.
The beer will also be a featured pour at Fiesta del Sol in Solana Beach, where Karl Strauss and Pizza Port are the exclusive beer partners. The two-day free festival kicks off the summer at Fletcher Cove Park on May 31 and June 1 with 14 live bands, art, local vendors and over 20 food offerings.
