JFC, just use battery operated blowers. Gas blowers aren't just loud, they pump out carbon like a forest fire.

Or leave the leaves. Stop trying to make nature excessively clean and tidy.
Or rake if you need to move leaves around.

Yeesh. We really can't advance as a civilization until we get the Leaf-Blower Problem addressed.

Those muldoons can afford to pay people to rake.

I have a neighbor who will start the backpack style blower around 09:00 and run it until lunch. No one has that many leaves. It is so annoying that we can't open the doors in the spring, it is just too loud.
So, I'm behind a conditional ban on gas powered leaf blowers

I admit, leaf blowers are fantastic for clearing off your deck, as you don't have to move all of the stuff on the deck first.
/but I let the leaves collect while I was sick from 2020-2022, so I need to replace the deck boards anyway
//and only got a leaf blower because it was on sale for less than the battery would have cost on its own
///mows over the leaves in the lawn

A lot of people in my town hire landscapers to do their lawn maintenance. Gas powered leaf blowers are cheap because 1) they already own them 2) they don't have to buy large quantities of batteries to get through the day and 3) it's a quick in and out with their current equipment so they can finish as many jobs as possible in one day.
I suppose the town could mandate corded blowers (like I have), they are not 100% quiet though, and everyone would have to pay to have an electrician install a 20A outdoor outlet on their homes.
Basically people who can afford landscapers don't want to spend a penny more for the service and want it done every weekend morning before their backyard social events.
Even in towns where they banned gas blowers they do it anyway because they are done before the cops arrive.
Anyway we're largely doomed due to the electricity demands of crypto and AI, plus our love of beef, pickup trucks/SUVs, and fossil fuels in general.
