We're dreaming of sunny days and cocktails by the pool, and not because we want to go on holiday but because we're still suffering from Benidorm withdrawal symptoms.
It's hard to believe it's been seven years since the beloved ITV sitcom was axed, but trust us, we've felt every minute of it.
Now, we're like a dog with a bone as the possibility of Benidorm's return has been dangled before us.
Benidorm, which ran for 74 episodes across ten seasons, saw a host of holidaymakers venture to the sun-soaked Solana Resort over the years.
Per The Sun, Boss Derren Litten confirmed that he's in talks with ITV over a comeback in a Facebook Live Video.
'Sherrie [Hewson, who plays Joyce Temple-Savage] does this rumour every couple of years, and Sherrie says that the show is coming back, and she is not shit-stirring - she is hopeful because she loves the show as much as I do,' the writer said.
'If I say ITV have not commissioned a new Benidorm series, it is because ITV have not commissioned a new Benidorm series, up to today. Does it mean they might commission a new series in the near future? Possibly.'
'Have I been talking to ITV in the last few months? Yes I have,' Derren teased. 'Have ITV commissioned a special or a series at the moment? No. Might they in the next few weeks [or] couple of months? Yeah they might. They might.
'So I hope that gives you [the fans] some hope, and I hope that gives you some idea of where we are.'
Sherrie Hewson added fuel too speculation of a comeback after Benidorm found success on Netflix. At the time, she said: 'I think Benidorm is bigger now than when we were actually on television. People stop me and say, "I'm re-watching Benidorm again.
'It's been in the top 10 on Netflix. There's nothing on telly like it, is there? I call it Carry On funny because it's a very British sense of humour. I'd definitely go back – we all loved our time on Benidorm. I say they should make a film out of it.'
At the end of March, Siobhan Finneran, who played Janice Garvey, shared a selfie with her on-screen family, writing: '#Benidorm is being heavily rumoured to be returning.. would you like to see the show and the Garveys back?'
Naturally, this was met with dozens of responses from fans, including one which read: 'That would be just the best news ever!! Ive been a fan of Benidorm since day one. Fingers crossed you can bring it back to your thousands of devoted fans !!'
The demand is clearly there, ITV!

As aforementioned, over the years, Benidorm holidaymakers came and went. Interestingly, only two cast members stuck it out for the full ten seasons: Janine Duvitski, who played Jacqueline Stewart, and Jake Canuso, who played Mateo Castellanos.
Other integral cast members include Johnny Vegas, Abigail Cruttenden, Nicholas Burns and Elsie Kelly. It'll be interesting to see if any of these actors have their eye on a role reprisal!
