Blackpink star Rosé is continually proving that her solo career isn’t just a side project, it’s one of the most successful immediate runs in the history of K-pop acts making it in America. The singer continues to ride high on the Billboard charts with her breakout hit “Apt.,” even months after it was released. This week, thanks in part to a less crowded field, Rosé’s chart-conquering collaboration with Bruno Mars bounces back into the highest tier on the most important singles chart in America.
Rosé Returns to the Hot 100’s Top 10
“Apt.” climbs back into the top 10 on the Hot 100 this week. The tune ascends from No. 14 to No. 10. That’s a special kind of return for a track that’s already spent nearly half a year on the chart, and which previously peaked at No. 3.
“Apt.” Rebounds After a Short Dip
Last week, “Apt” suffered a drop — not because interest waned, but because the Hot 100 was unusually crowded with high-profile debuts. Chappell Roan’s “The Giver” blasted in at No. 5, while Playboi Carti managed to place two new songs, “Evil Jordan” and “Rather Lie” with The Weeknd, at Nos. 2 and 4, respectively. That influx pushed Rosé’s tune down from No. 6 to No. 14.
This time around, that rush of new arrivals has mostly vanished. None of Carti’s tracks remain in the top 10, and “The Giver” also slides outside of the highest tier. Only one new composition breaks into the region this frame. Morgan Wallen’s “Just In Case” debuts at No. 4, but the region wasn’t too packed for several returning favorites.
Rosé’s Earns One of Several Comebacks
Rosé’s “Apt.” is one of four songs that re-enter the top 10 on the Hot 100 this frame. It lands at the lowest position among the bunch, but the fact that it’s still present within the tier is another sign of just how huge the cut remains.
