Solana Beach Community Connections (SBCC), a local nonprofit organization that supports Solana Beach seniors, along with Elders’ Angels, is hosting an afternoon of flowers, snacks and socializing sure to get participants into the spirit of spring.
SBCC is focused on supporting local seniors through healthy activities, social engagement and community support. This event is held in conjunction with the city of Solana Beach and will be hosted at La Colonia Community Center (715 Valley Avenue) on Monday, May 5 from 4 p.m.-5 p.m.
Peter Gourevitch, president of SBCC, said in a news release, “Studies show that social interaction positively impacts mental and physical health in seniors. Our goal is to provide a Solana Beach social calendar of exciting things to do in our community. We’re excited to work with local resident Kelli Pease of Flower Remedy to offer local seniors a free custom bouquet of flowers and an enjoyable afternoon amongst friends. We look forward to seeing you on May 5!”
Attendees are asked to RSVP to ensure there is an abundance of flowers and volunteers to help create custom arrangements. Light refreshments will also be provided.
