Rosé has demonstrated time and again that she’s not just a K-pop star, she’s a worldwide superstar, one who can succeed no matter the style of music she’s making. The Blackpink singer reached the top of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. with Bruno Mars months ago, and now, she’s back in charge alongside the Grammy-winning hitmaker. Their collaboration "Apt." returns to No. 1 on the chart that ranks the most popular songs around the world — excluding American activity — and as it does, it continues to make history.
"Apt." Returns to No. 1 on Billboard’s Global Chart
"Apt." rises one spot to No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., swapping places with another blockbuster hit. The cut is now in charge of the worldwide tally for an eighteenth nonconsecutive week. That impressive sum helps the track pull further ahead of Mariah Carey’s holiday smash "All I Want for Christmas Is You," which has led for 14 frames.
Bruno Mars Recently Hit No. 1 With a Different Song
While "Apt." is back in control, it was only a week ago that Mars was at No. 1 with another track. "Die With a Smile," his dramatic duet with Lady Gaga, led the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. in the previous frame.
"Die With a Smile" has now claimed the throne for 11 weeks in total. That total places it among the five longest-running rulers in the history of the ranking. It currently sits behind "Apt." (18 weeks), Carey’s "All I Want for Christmas Is You" (14), and both Harry Styles’s "As It Was" and Miley Cyrus’s "Flowers" (13).
"Apt." and "Die With a Smile" Have Been Battling for Months
Throughout 2025, "Apt." and "Die With a Smile" have taken turns leading the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. The two smashes have been in a near-constant back-and-forth, each dominating for a short sting before being replaced by the other. They are two of just three songs that have ruled the chart since the beginning of the year.
